Marketing International Properties

I am looking for any information that may be helpful in marketing international properties.  I am currently living in South Africa and working with a agency here that wants to market properties to potential US investors.  We deal specifically in the tourism and wine farming industries.  If anyone has any tips on the best way to go about marketing these types of properties in the US, please let me know.

Have you tried advertising online ?
Google Adwords and/or Overture are good as they provide geo-targeted advertisements.
