I am a licensed Real Estate sales agent in Texas.  Would I need any additional licensing to sell mobile homes as Lonnie Scruggs suggests?

Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
I haven't read it, but my understanding is you will need to obtain a license to be a mobile home dealer per certain criteria.  Someone else posted a link in this thread which may be helpful...

Take care...

Every state is different. In Idaho I was allowed to sell "used" MH's because I was a Real Estate Broker.

In Arizona and Nevada, I have to keep a seperate license for "used" mobile homes.

If you are going to sell "New" then you need a license period.

I used to sell new mobile homes here in Texas.  Now I am a realtor.  When I asked TREC about selling MH I was told if they were a land/home deal (real estate)  then could sell.  Just the home (chattel) need a MH salesperson license.  Easy to obtain, but has to be thru a dealer.
