I'd go one step farther and say that the real culprit here is the American People.  We've been addicted to credit like an addict is hooked on crack for many decades.  The result is that we stood by while the government rang up the tab with enititlement programs that have saddled us and our children with unimaginable debt.   We have sold our soul for financial instant gratification and now it's time to pay the devil his due!

obama's energy policy will be huge for this country. i think he realizes we need to evolve our countries energy use away from oil as much as possible.

 1 thing i think everyone can agree on is barack obama is the better voice for the USA. i think the usa will gain the worlds support again. watching GW Bush speak is like listening to a special olympics award ceremony. I truelly think obama is gonna be a great president. he can work together with people and thats what we need. if he does as good a job picking people to offices as he did for his campaign we'll be in good shape again.

So, the democrats KNEW about the problem, did nothing, even though they were warned BY Bush et al, and Bush is the only "complete incompentant"... sounds logical to me...

Listen to him unscripted, and you have to "uh, hmmm, uhm, pause, no wait for it... uuhhhmmm"..... wait while he puts together a thought... I can just see the comedy sketches unfolding on SNL, that is assuming they get over the euphoria phase...

Bush's problem in history is not that his policies did not increase revenues every year while in office due to the tax cuts "for the rich", it was that the SPENDING increased with no check... and the republican led congress for the first six years, and democrat controlled congress the following 2 years FAILED in their fiscal role.  The President doesn't write the checks, Congress does...  therefore, more accurately, it was CONGRESS, of both parties, that once again demonstrated utter and "complete incompetence"...
