I am a believer that a bailout will happen. What I don't like is giving these companies money to cover operation costs due to them being in the position they created.

Why not a bailout in a differant way rather than trickle down how about trickle up!

Give huge tax breaks if you buy a american made vehicle. All these companies are going to do is hoard the money and give it out as they see needed. If you give it to them in the form of increased sales, the auto dealers get their cut, the truck drivers that are delivering get their cut, the workers in their plants are working and earning their fat paychecks, and its forcing them to use their suppliers so they are getting their cut. This will keep people working.

This will also help the businesses that are looking to upgrade some of their vehicles. Also help out some of the famlies get into a new car at a great price.

If the are going to help these companies out at least make them earn it!

One last thing since my plan I know won't fly. Part of bailing these companies out their should be strict guidlines to the pay of these executives running these businesses. I read an article near 10 years ago about these salieries and the rule years back was 30x the average workers pay was what a CEO would make! THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!
