Hoosier and Pos.Outlook and you others:
I was reporting to you that I had been listening to a live feed from the Jacqueline Kennedy garden on CNN-2. Here that is a channel that feeds live from Congress, etc.
This was not reportage or analyses from reporters, it was live women in front of a microphone. They reported that THEIR INSURANCE GOT CANCELED, after they got their first cancer treatments. As you know, cancer must be monitored for years, as it can come back. THESE WOMEN COULD NOT GET NEW INSURANCE!
So they lived in dread fear of bankrupting their families if they got sick again. I did not make this up. I was shocked by the callousness of the insurance companies. About 6 different women spoke of their similar problem. Michelle Obama spoke of her hope that such stories be done away with under our new health policies.
It is insanity and criminal to cancel someone's policy because they might get sick again. Yes, that should be absolutely forbidden. The insurance companies have put themselves on the firing line with their underhanded and excessive profit-driven policies. They deserve to go out of business.
Hoosier,
Just to educate you, you need to know that the people DO NOT interpret the Constitution. Well, actually they do. But just NINE PEOPLE. It is the very job of the Supreme Court to interpret our laws according to the Constitution.
Each justice has dozens of lawyers doing nothing but research for him/her. Each justice takes weeks or months to ponder one point. Then they meet in total privacy and debate amongst themselves, after having heard the opposing viewpoints out in the court. They take their mandate damned seriously. Those nine have been hand-picked and approved of by our elected representatives.
So, Hoosier, you can breathe a big sigh of relief. Interpreting the Constitution is no longer your duty! You can get back to your bong, TV, whatever turns you on.

Watch that...
Obama right here admits the Consitution is "flawed", he doesnt support it. Your telling me.... just because 9 Justices (most picked by Socialites) have a job to "interpet" the Constitution, its irrelavant whether Obama personally supports it or not?!?
As far as the bong, no thanks. Im busy with college.. you know, im actually putting more HOPE in MYSELF than your Messiah Obama. (I know I know, you Socialist Liberals HATE the thought of a Middle Class American trying to have SUCCESS without the Governments help. Sorry Marxist.

Another ridiculous comment from the uneducated child...
Your telling me.... just because 9 Justices (most picked by Socialites)
John G. Roberts, Jr.-Chief Justice of the United States-Nominated by George W. Bush.
John Paul Stevens-Nominated by Gerald Ford.
Antonin Scalia-Nominated by Ronald Reagan
Anthony M. Kennedy-Nominated by Ronald Reagan
Clarence Thomas-Nominated by Nominated by George H. W. Bush.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg-Nominated by President Clinton
Stephen G. Breyer-Nominated by President Clinton
Samuel A. Alito, Jr-Nominated by George W. Bush.
David H. Souter (Retired)-Nominated by Nominated by George H. W. Bush.
Sandra Day O’Connor (Retired)-Nominated by Ronald Reagan
As you can see Hoosier of the last 10 Supreme Court Justices there have been 2 nominated by "socialites".
So where does that leave you now? These are incredibly brilliant people who dedicate their lives to interpreting the constitution yet someone like you who can't even formulate an original thought is going to sit here and question their judgement because of who nominated them. Seriously man did you even crack a book in high school? There is a reason you are going to "East Bum F**K Junior College for Nursing" and not Harvard hell your not even going to IU. I think I like it better when you just regurgitate what you hear from other people instead of when you try to put a coherent thought together. All it does is reinforce the fact that you are UNEDUCATED. Go back to your pathetic internet search for Hooch and let the grown ups talk.

#2.. Your going to attack me for going to a JUCO Chris?!?! LMFAO. First of all, its ALOT CHEAPER than good ole IU. My parents are VERY middle class you idiot, NOT EVERYBODY can afford to spend 3-4X more money for the SAME EDUCATION. Wow Chris, aside from making a comment that really was just stupid, you really came across as a dick on this one. Sorry everybody doesnt have money like you bud. We get it Chris, your so good, you got money, I dont. Whipdefukin doo. Your so awesome. Its amazing how Liberals think everybody is below them, it baffles me.

Furnishedowner,
"Woman after woman got up and told their stories of how out of the blue, no family history, they got breast cancer.
Then how they got cured. Then how their health insurance company CANCELED THEIR INSURANCE ANYWAY.
"
"This was not reportage or analyses from reporters, it was live women in front of a microphone. They reported that
THEIR INSURANCE GOT CANCELED, after they got their first cancer treatments.
"
Well, in the first post you said that they got the treatments and were cured, then the insurance was cancelled... then in the second post, you said that their insurance was cancelled after their first treatment, and then they couldn't get insurance... which is it?
Either way, the insurance company fulfilled their obligation according to what you wrote, and I might add, at a cost ABOVE what they likely received in premiums from these women... the insurance companies are not obligated to take someone on as a customer YET... the difference between us is I think by getting the HEALTH insurance companies COMPETING against one another for our business, like they do for ALL OTHER CONSUMER INSURANCES, which have lead to DECREASES in premiums ACROSS THE BOARD, you want to use the government to FORCE the insurance companies to do something... one of the reasons why I believe you are a socialist... that's fine until YOUR ox is gored... Like a wise man once said...
"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic" -
Benjamin Franklin
Furnishedowner, do you think you are defending the Republic by voting to have government take from one and give to another???...
Now I am not a defender of insurance companies... I think they are a necessary evil... but hate them like everyone else...
"It is insanity and criminal to cancel someone's policy because they might get sick again."
Now again, the only way these women could have been dropped is if they had an individual policy... if they were part of a group policy... it doesn't work that way... So I still maintain until we have more information, you were being manipulated.... Look at the Obama speeches on NATIONAL TV, and the individual examples he used ended up NOT BEING TRUE... So don't put it past them that this was a set-up... it wouldn't be the first or last time...
I am curious, however... if these women's insurance companies were forced to carry them, do you think they should have to pay an elevated premium based on their risk? If so, how much??
Be careful how you answer, and really put some thought into it...
"The insurance companies have put themselves on the firing line with their underhanded and excessive profit-driven policies. They deserve to go out of business."
Interestingly enough, insurance companies net anywhere from 2-8% profit margin, which is an average ROI for alot of industries... and like alot of industries, their top management makes millions... Sportss, actors, software industry, hollywood, entertainers, NEWSCASTERS, I could go on an on... Why is it not criminal for them? After all, we have cheaper everything if they didn't make so much, right??? Heck, we pay a small fortune to go to the movies... Real estate plays a HUGE role in how much we pay for things...
If an insurance company does not meets it contractual obligations... slam them... But don't forget those lawyers who ALSO get paid MILLIONS...
What is very interesting to me is that you tell everyone on this site, how you are able to charge MORE for what you offer in your furnished units... some would call that excessive profits (not me, mind you), but you are OK with your profits, right?

I don't think anyone is below me. To paraphrase a quote from Chris Rock "Anyone who makes up their mind in an argument without hearing both sides is a f*****g idiot".
I live by the live and let live rule but when I hear complete idiots like you bashing the government and saying things like "abolish the FDA" and "Bush is a socialist" I feel the need to stand up and say "SHUT UP". You sound like a complete moron. Sorry to hear your leaving but good luck in your search for your buddy Hooch.

Christopher and Furnishedowner,
I find it very interesting how you two constantly attack Hoosier with various denigrations mostly aimed at his age... He gives you it back, which you would expect, but then again, he's 18.... you two are how old???
Something to consider, your demeaning talk to an 18 year old, calling him names, instead of addressing his points, magnifies your inner child's character - leftover issues... I wonder how you would advise your own kids to deal with it... I would certainly think that you would advise them that you don't have to demean someone to make your point...
When the name calling starts, the weaker argument presents and projects itself... I mean think about it... you are letting an 18 year old get to you to the point where you feel you have to insult him in a way you would probably not advise your own kids to do...
Hoosier,
Harvard for a nurse is overkill... nursing is one of those careers where years on the job, attitude and competency has a more defining role in your pay, so don't let simple words define you or make you feel attending ANY college for nursing is a bad thing... shoot for the best grades you can get... constantly challenge yourself, and the fact that you are working to better yourself FOR yourself without relying on someone else to do it for you, speaks much more to your character than blogging...
My wife has been a nurse for over 20 years, and she has advanced EVERYWHERE she has worked... she is a go-to person because she is professional, courteous, knowledgeable and willing to do things others aren't... She gets recognized routinely from patients, co-workers and management... Now, NONE of these people know what grades she got in college (although she did graduate Magna-Cum-Laude after being an average student in high school)... She has to deal with people who only do what they have to to get by, and these are the people who give her the most grief... her doing her best only reminds them that they are not...
As we tell our kids... ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST... YOU are the one who ultimate benefits... keep moving forward, even if you fall down now and then...

Positive,
If Hoosier wants to talk like an adult then he will be treated like an adult. His words are what make him sound unintelligent not what Furnished and I say to him. I call a spade a spade and that is how it is. We are supposed to give him a pass because he is younger than we are? None of my children would ever open their mouth and say some of the ridiculous comments that he has posted here and they are much younger than Hoosier AND much smarter.
He reminds me of that kid in 4th grade that used to cuss up a storm when the grown-ups were not around so that all the other kids would think he was cool. Its a shame that no one ever told him that kid usually ended up in juvi. Talking about spitting on the president and being verbally abusive to people passing out information on health care reform. I would be livid if ANY of my children ever acted like that.
Whats that saying about "its better to keep your mouth shut and be thought an idiot than to open your mouth and prove it"....

Christopher,
"If Hoosier wants to talk like an adult then he will be treated like an adult. His words are what make him sound unintelligent not what Furnished and I say to him."
Re-read what you wrote... how is demeaning Hoosier talking like an adult... no matter the subject?... To make the point even more, would you be proud or embarrassed for your kids to read what you are writing regarding a young man decades your junior? When we look at our actions through the eyes of our kids, it more often than not crystallizes the right thing to do...
"Talking about spitting on the president and being verbally abusive to people passing out information on health care reform. I would be livid if ANY of my children ever acted like that."
Christopher, you are being verbally abusive to him now talking about the opposing view of healthcare, and your insults have nothing to do with his points... you don't see that? That's my point... he's 18... you're how old?
"He reminds me of that kid in 4th grade that used to cuss up a storm when the grown-ups were not around so that all the other kids would think he was cool. Its a shame that no one ever told him that kid usually ended up in juvi"
He's not going to juvi, but showing initiative and going to college... him having an opinion is just like you having an opinion... just because YOU disagree with it, doesn't make YOU right... that's left up to the reader... so this makes no sense...
"Whats that saying about "its better to keep your mouth shut and be thought an idiot than to open your mouth and prove it"....
Actually, the quote is -
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."
Abraham Lincoln
And.... I agree...

If you agree then perhaps your time would be better spent lecturing Hoosier on keeping his mouth shut and not sounding like a complete moron. Although you seem to struggle with that a bit yourself... Here are a couple of oldie but goodies from your greatest hits collection.
"We invaded Iraq to protect this country"
"Reagan ended the cold war"
and my personal favorite
"I will get double digit returns"
Seriously man you lecturing me on anything is ludicrous. Well maybe you could advise me on how to buy poorly, underestimate, and how to drag a project out much longer than expected. If I ever need advice on those subjects u will be the first person I call.

Christopher,
"If you agree then perhaps your time would be better spent lecturing Hoosier on keeping his mouth shut and not sounding like a complete moron. Although you seem to struggle with that a bit yourself..."
And that is the crux of the issue... you want Hoosier to
"keep his mouth shut"
... you couldn't do it through your ideas, so you resort to insults while lecturing Hoosier to
"let the grown-ups talk"
... All sorts of insight here... It does not surprise me in the least... when what you espouse for others is applied to you, your answer is for them to
"keep their mouths shut"
, because the more you write the harder it becomes to defend what you say, and it gets more and more desperate...
Something esle to consider Christopher W... you have identified yourself on the internet, foollishlly given your address and phone... it is permanently out there... your kids may very well come to you one day ask -
"Dad, was that
you
that said that to an 18 year old"
... Like I said, when our actions are viewed through the eyes of our kids, it crystallizes the right thing to do... you'll either learn that or be ignorant to it....
Here are a couple of oldie but goodies from your greatest hits collection."
"We invaded Iraq to protect this country", "Reagan ended the cold war", and my personal favorite, "I will get double digit returns"
And after trying to get Hoosier to
"shut his mouth"
through demeaning an 18 year old's thoughts, this old tired discredited blather is the best attempt you have to
"shut my mouth"
??? Christopher, all this does is highlight your total lack of understanding of geopolitical realiites, and the cold war...
With regards to a double-digit return, show us how it will NOT be one when all is said and done, and then you have a leg to stand on... until then, just words from a frustrated individual... give us an update on your HML in the ideal market you are in... haven't seen any posts from you announcing it's a reality... just words... insulting ones at that... you've become known for it, which is why I posted what I did...
"Seriously man you lecturing me on anything is ludicrous."
I wasn't "lecturing" you.... I was giving you a perspective that you did not consider... how old are you???
"Well maybe you could advise me on how to buy poorly, underestimate, and how to drag a project out much longer than expected. If I ever need advice on those subjects u will be the first person I call."
Christopher, you pretending you know what you are talking about here is just ridiculous at its core...

I agree on this Hoosier should be allowed to grow his views and exprss even the ones tha I don't agree with. ESPECIALLY the ones I don't agree with. I live in a neighborhood that is very high income. That means that our kids tend to be genetically conservative. That is they are conservative because their parents are conservative. That causes their arguments to be not as well thought out as I would like so I tend to make sure I leave them an out so that they can save face. I don’t want to ever make them think that they were not well served by their parents teaching. I just want them to think it through themselves. I don’t think anybody on this site is dumb. I just want them to think it through. I read good point all the time from my conservative friends on here. I enjoy the mental exercises. I just bothers me that sometimes when PositiveOutlook gets show where he is WRONG and he covers it up instead of saying you are right.
