It is what it is.  My mentors when I got started had invested about the same amount in another "guru" and they've done very well.  Did they have to spend that much to gain the knowledge they needed, absolutely not.  The real question is what will you do with what you learn.  Hopefully that 15K will "fuel the fire" enough for you to treat real estate like the powerhouse that it is and enable you to take massive action!!  If you can't get out of it, just make sure that you get more than 15K of knowledge from it, and MUCH more in Real Estate Investing than that.
