From what I've read, it was an 8-point lead...  not so much a tight race...

They are playing the fundraising war right now, and both are raising a ton of cash in a short period of time...  They both will be over $1 million by the end of the weekend...  Wilson had raised a total of $1.1 Million for the two-year period leading up to 2008, and Miller had raised $390,000 and then put another $235,000 of his money into it...  so they are both going to be quite ahead of where they were last time fundraising-wise...

They are both making the most of it...

It STILL doesn't change the fact that this guy OPENED THE DOOR for his opponent.  Money is going to POUR into this race....ALL BECAUSE A REPUBLICAN COULDN'T KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT while a PRESIDENT was making a speech....

NIT WIT = A person who spends over $1 million to get a job that pays less than $200,000. Wins his election then decides to yell out an inappropriate remark during a Presidential speech.  Is forced to APOLOGIZE IMMEDIATELY, is chastized by his own party and at the same time swings the door WIDE OPEN for his OPPONENT, who up until that OUTBURST was dead and buried politcally. (noun)

OBVIOUSLY.....This guy is NOT the sharpest knife on the drawer....If I was running a campaign against him...I'd feel like I just got handed a very expensive GIFT!!!

Interesting definition of nitwit...  Then Miller is a Nitwit, because he spent $235,00 of his OWN MONEY, because he couldn't raise enough...  As a matter of fact, he is MORE of a nitwit because he did, Wilson spent OPM...  so obviously, Miller is also "NOT the sharpest knife on the drawer"...

Power costs money, just ask Clinton, Romney, Corzine, Bloomberg. etc..  all of whom threw MILLIONS into their election campaigns...

That said, they are both milking it now, except Miller actually had the balls to accuse Wilson of milking it WHILE MILLER is doing the same...  talk about incompetent...  Also makes for an easy rebuttal ad...

While I agree about the decorum issue, Wilson is getting all sorts of support...  You'll notice the President AND the Dems on the Group of 6, BOTH made moves to remove something that supposedly wasn't there... there were TWO separate Rep ammendments to get this done (you know - making sausage, as Bluemoon06 likes to say) but it was voted DOWN along party lines...  Now, Wilson, after bringing this attention, made the PRESIDENT and the Dem's on the Group of 6 capitulate and add the language they were looking for previously... add onto this, his fundraising, as well as Millers, has shot through the roof...  sounds like a win for the fool...

Wilson was the incumbant.....He had ALREADY BEAT MILLER and Miller was in debt....Now Miller is not only BACK....He's DEBT FREE and has gained a national stage..
