Do I need to have a business name to do wholesaling?

I'm new to rei and I plan to start with wholesaling. I'm in the process of putting together a game plan. My question is can I do without a business name if I will be starting with wholesaling?

The simple answer is no.  Just think about what a wholesaler of real estate is doing.

You are purchasing a house (in a sense) and then selling that house.  Don't need a business name for that.

You should wholesale deals in a business entity after a few deals to protect you from being classified as a dealer from the government. But in the meanwhile don't worry about it and go for the gusto. Go luck.
