I have a  fc I bought that has 3 judgements on that I am trying to clear so I can get a loan. New loan rules they have to be in first lienholder position. Two are at an apartment bdg. I called them as they are on the title as judg ements. I called the apt complex to see if they were ever paid or if I could work out a deal to pay them off. The lady wont tell me if they have been paid or how much to negotiate as she says because of privacy act she cant give personal info.

I tell her judgements are public record,  How can I negotiate if she wont tell me info or how much???

Can't you find the judgments in the public records?  Do you have title insurance?  This is a problem I would take to a title officer;  he/she may be able to get the info. much easier than you.

Good luck, and let us know how you solved it.
