Do anyone know what liens stay on the forclosure?

I am living in the state of Missouri, and this may be different from other states? But if you can share your knowledge on what liens get drop in your state that would be helpful. I am trying to understand what liens get drop when you bid on a forclosure auction? I get two different anwers from two different sources. My first source said that all liens get drop except the property tax and home owner association, and my second source said that all liens get drop except for state tax, county tax, and city tax. Who is right does anyone know?
