Ironically, the one politician that I like is Gov. Ted Strickland of Ohio (a democrat).  Although he talks a little like a socialist when Osama Obama is in Ohio, he's done an EXCELLENT job fiscally in Ohio, especially considering the tough economy!  I plan to actively work for his re-election against the disgraceful RINO Kasich!

That's what I respect about Mike.....There's a LOT of people out there that TALK a good game....But Mike is willing to put his TIME IN for a candidate he believes in...

THAT's someone "walkin' the walk"....Not just "talkin' the talk!"

There's HUGE difference between COMPLAINING about POLITICIANS on a web site and actually spending HOURS at a candidates CALL CENTER making one call after another and listening to people whine...Never mind walking wards or districts for them....I've done BOTH....It's a major time commitment, but the feeling of accomplishment IF your guy wins...is UNBELIEVABLE.....I've stood shoulder to shoulder with candidates on election night as RUNNERS came in with election results.

It is truely amazing to see the process at work and the WORK it takes run and WIN!

I too respect Mike for his passion for politics but at the same time he worries me..Mike dont snap a bolt over these issues for Gods sake..You flip out..Is it really worth it in the end?...Nothing you do will change the course of the inevitable..I have enough stress in my life and the last thing I need is to fight with people over politics..I use to go on aol political chat rooms *years* ago and found myself so annoyed because I cant comprehend the other side as they cant comprehend me..So I stay away and dont get involved..There is no sense to it..Its impossible to make someone think differently when their brain is wired to think in a different way..Its incredibly frustrating but I have to pick my battles and politics is a battle I cant win...

Boy, I'm glad that you weren't around when the founding fathers were comtemplating independence from England or when people were fighting to free the slaves.  I guess you think those people shouldn't have "flipped out" and done something to change the country.  Was it worth it to them in the end?  Many of them gave their very lives for our country when they could have been concentrating on making money.  YES, IT WAS WORTH IT!  They founded the greatest country in the history of the world.  There are things much more important in life than just making money.

Nothing you do will change the course of the inevitable

Ridiculous!  One person CAN change the world.  I've made an impact in my local community many times.  I can make an impact on a national level too.  Look at John in NC, he and I (and others like us) are making a huge impact on the country with the tea parties.  A REPUBLICAN was elected in the most liberal state in the country to Ted Kennedy's seat!  That's an impact, although it's almost certainly too little and too late to prevent a collapse of our country.  After the collapse, I (and millions of others like me) will be prepared to survive and make a difference.  You will be stuck trying to figure out how to buy food with dollars that are completely worthless.  If you stopped being obsessed with making money for just one hour and try to determine the end game for the ponzi scheme, you would see what's happening.  I'm all for making money and having a nice lifestyle, but I'm also for getting our country back so that our kids and grandkids can have the same opportunity that we had.

...and yet, you're on here every day doing exactly the same thing.

There is hope. Has anyone seen this? I don't care if you are a leftest liberal or a neoconservative, how can you disagree with the principles laid down by Ron Paul at the Cpac speech this year? I can't wait until 2012. Your going to see REAL change. Ron may go down as a modern day founding father for this country.
