There's nothing wrong with giving advice about looking professional, correct grammar, etc. However, the OP was mocking peoples' intelligence and basically talking a bunch of crap about nebies! He's mad because he's having a hard time recruiting students for his mentorship program. I read his original post and if you notice he edited his posts afterwards.

Rob in Atlanta,

I am new to investing in real estate and would like to understand your value proposition as a coach.  Please provide more detailed information about your services.

How much does the coaching cost, how is it billed and what does it include?

Are there any active members on the board who have directly benefited by your extensive knowledge and expertise?

How many "newbie" investors have you successfully coached into full-time investors?

How long have you been a full time investor? How long have you been a coach?

Thank You.

I agree! He was basically taking his frustration out on a public forum. To me as someone who has been mentored by quite a few gurus and mentors (over 30 mentors over the last 20 years in this business), and who has partnered with a few new investors, keep your mentoring frustrations out of a public forum, unless this was a mentor forum to teach people how to mentor, and if that was the case, to me he looks to be a new mentor just from this. To me as a mentor and ?mentee?, would I give a new investor who has come to me and even paid me to mentor them so called "tough coaching" just because of what the OP stated in his ORIGINAL post? No! It wouldn't require tough coaching. I have a tough skin for being in multiple businesses over the last 20 years. As everyone else, my .02 cents.

Get a new user-ID.. join this site again.. and try again!  flush

Maybe this time with a less "direct approach" for all the softies on this website.

****Edited: I take that back, I read some of his posts and he does have some valuable insight. I just don't agree with his method of talking to newbies.

OK boys play nice...As an ex-teacher and yrs as a psych case worker I'm still amazed at how judgmental people can be. I was dyslexic through most of grade school. I am also dsycalulia (dyslexic with numbers) and yet I still make  biggrin my money is on point. If anyone would like to know how just pm me. Orrrr maybe someone's bad spelling is due to another learning disability or just plain being tired. Not everyone made it out of high school and many not even grade school. Every time I use my blackberry my spelling is off. What ever the case there is NO reason that I can think of to be rude, mean or direspectful to another human being unless they have really stepped out of line.
We are all here to learn and find our way in RE Investing correct? If someone is being a real jerk than they need to be addresed don't get me wrong. I just think using the pm option is the way to go. Can we please move on and be professional? Ok, I'm done rambling.
P.S. Yes, I know I have several errors myself but too tired to correct them.

Just to add a quick comment as well, Rob has some points as well as others.

However, you should always remember that a great "hustler" has great street smarts and lack in the formal education department, yet they still manange to make loads of money for themselves.

This also applies in real estate as most deals are from the "streets" (word of mouth).
