email marketing??
«
on:
May 23, 2010, 04:27:30 PM »
I would like to email market to my list that I have but am concerned with the DNC issues regarding spam and other areas. I do not wish to get into trouble befopre I start. Where would I start if I wanted to start marketing to people that I have contacted in the past?
I would also like to know if certain email marketing companies are better than others, such as Icontact, Constant contact or Rate Point email marketing. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi mdube,
Email marketing is not too difficult if you follow some simple rules to keep out of trouble with both the DNC and your email marketing service provider.
1. Email purchased lists are prohibited by most providers and can result in the shut down of your account. That being said, I have emailed unknown contacts once to ask if they are interested in working with me or receiving information from me without incident.
Most real estate agents and other professionals recognize that you belong to their network group and provided that your email is specific and genuine the response can be good.
Even better to target warm contacts. I have built my eNewsletter around this group and have an average 35% open rate and 15% click-through rate which is more than double the industry average.
As far as email companies, the industry leader is ConstantContact, with iContact in a close second place. Constantcontact has recently released some nice social media solutions and, in my opinion has a better user interface than iContact. But, they have a very strict no spam policy. iContact on the other hand, is better if your database is larger and you just want to stick to text formatted emails. Both are similar in price.

Email marketing is, as the name suggests, the use of email in marketing communications. Sending direct promotional emails to try and acquire new customers or persuade existing customers to buy again. It is also designed to encourage customer loyalty and enhance the customer relationship.

I use vertical response and love it. I would however do a web search for compare email marketing services and pick the one that is best for you and the price is right.

Email marketing is a method in which an advertiser sends notices via e-mail to target customers to provide products and services. The goal is to sell these goods and services, retain existing customers and attract new customers in the market.

If you want mail your clients and then you don't want any issue like a spam. Do one thing buy a new domain with all the details and then you need a bulk SMS software and then sent message to all your clients, you can use send blaster.

Dear Anthony696 , Its a very good idea in my view to buy the Domain and send the email to all the clients . Do you think it will work well . Have you used this option yet .

I think email marketing is directly marketing a commercial message to a group of people by use of electronic mail. Though it is more commonly thought of as using email to send ads, request business, or solicit sales or donations, any email communication that is meant to build loyalty, trust or brand awareness qualifies.

Email is fine, but you MUST include an opt out feature in every email you send. Keeping your list up to date is very important because you can not only waste a lot of time but you can poison your brand.

I also think email marketing is worth trying. If you are a newbie and doesn't know the whole process yet, it would be better if you get help from the experts. There are some freelancers that you can ask assistance from or you can also acquire email marketing campaign service from web marketing agencies. It is important to do it the right way to avoid being in trouble.
