Do you think its better to have a separate website for buyers and sellers or is it enough to just have separate sections on the website?

When I help others with their wholesaling business, I suggest separate websites - actually squeeze pages - for buyers and sellers.  No reason to confuse the two groups of people IMO...

Separate sections on the same website should be fine. I think it's unnecessary to build 2 different websites.

It actually depends why are you thinking of having a separate website for your buyers and sellers. If you have too much information on your site or you need to organize them, you can simply do a subdomain instead like what google is doing example:

tools.google.com
adwords.google.com
maps.google.com

But other than that, I agree with the Tony.

In my personal view . There is no need to have the separate website for buyers and seller . because it will be expensive and will be difficult to manage it . The two section s in one web site is enough and easy instead of making separate for buyers and sellers .

It depends, but it's usually ok if you just have 2 separate sections.

A website is a fairly inexpensive business tool that serves a purpose for both you and your clients. For you, it is a fairly inexpensive way to advertise. Obtaining an appropriate domain name for your business does not cost very much any more.

I definitely have 2 separate web sites.
One as a simple landing page/squeeze page to collect emails in order to build a buyers' list.
One as a seller informational site, with several pages, free reports and feedback forms.

Different sites that focus on one company but target the customers will may have the tendency to compete against each other.

Focus on generating traffic to these websites. Don't matter if you have 2 sites, if you can generate traffic to these sites you will be good.

I say seperate websites are best. No need to mix buyers and sellers and have too much info on one page.

It depends...If you have lots of information on your site,then you need to organize them into two separate websites,otherwise carry on with one having two separate columns.

I actually think this is a great question, as it leads to the theory of what I refer to as the shell game of real estate.
Market it THIS way to the seller then market it THIS way to the buyer, and neither one knows what I'm doing with the other hand...or shell...
I'm trying to figure out how to post this without sounding like a sales pitch or getting this edited.....
Umm....(keep in mind I only do LO's)
I had a former student (I'd give him a plug here but again...I don't want to get edited by the moderator) who is very intelligent come to me that had 2 sites because that's what he was taught.
I showed him exactly what I do including the site.
I only have 1 site.
I still to this day say that I wish I had a video camera when he saw how it all comes together.
He realized that if you want to play a shell game, you will always be playing the shell game.
If you want to build a business based on your services, you don't play a shell game.
