There's a flipper in my area that parks a trailer with a 'bunch' of graphics-laden advertising all over it.

Has anyone had experience with this that would share their results?

I've tinkered with a similar idea, and found a lead on an old, short, school bus that I think would attract a lot of attention.  It's only got 3 passenger windows...!  However, I don't want to invest two or three grand in this thing if it's not going to produce 'really' good results.

If you've done this, where is the best place to park and how often do you move it, and would you do it again, or continue?

Thanks in advance...

javapi,

Yes, advertising on vehicles works great, I can park this 2011 Rolls Royce anywhere and it gets plenty of attention and leads.

Jay,
Methinks advertising on a "short bus" might not get you the results you're looking for...   Smiley
Sorry...couldn't resist.
I see a couple bandit signs around my town every now and then, but that's about it.

So, the '72 Vega is out, too, I guess?   biggrin

I was having a hard enough time justifying parking a $3,000 'short bus' somewhere, much less parking a $103,000 Rolls Royce...!   Shocked

How's that work again?

The ones that i have seen are nothing pretty honestly. Its just a small trailer with a wood enclosure with cut outs for the TV's on the back and sides.

OK, I'm in favor of the "alternate billboards". Many years ago I used bandit signs a lot, but the main market place for me had the worlds most effective sign police, so I got ticked off and decided to make my bandit signs legal. I started finding things with wheels to put them on.

At the time one of my kids was chasing judgments, so we made a deal with the people that owed that we would suspend the interest build-up if they kept the signs on their cars and pay a reward if the sign produced a deal. I then extended it to employees of places that I wanted exposure, builder supply stores, properties on busy corners. Any vehicle I could get a sign on, of course the signs were not as cheap as bandit signs but I drove the sign police crazy, they wanted to pass an ordinance but knew it wouldn't pass legal muster.

I even started hitting Realtors with a second sign on their listings that said need to sell before you can buy, Brian buys houses fast, sell yours and buy this one. Sellers didn't seem to mind and the agent got a reward if it produced a deal, but many were afraid they would lose a potential listing if they were calling me instead of maybe listing with them if they called on the for sale sign, plus I was a broker besides being an investor and they thought they might lose a buyer prospect to me as well as a listing prospect but enough were interested when we worked out the details that made them uncomfortable.
