Hey,
"The pursuit of our dreams is, at heart, an act of faith combined with a giant act of will. But when it pays off, the unexpected happens. The world shifts around you, unseen passages open, and in many ways, the rules of reality - at least the rules that have defined your reality - change." - - Bahram Akrodi

Reality is for those with no imagination

You can't get in the game if you're standing on the sidelines

In life...you're either an example or a warning

The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary

There's a lot you can learn from your victories...and even more you can learn from your defeats

Winners make things happen...losers let things happen

The nail that stands out gets pounded down. Even if you're successful...you'll have a large number of critics.

There's a weeks worth...better save some for later.

Some more for next week...for the "Housing Bubble threads;

"Economics is the only field in which two people can share a Nobel Prize for saying opposing things." Specifically, Myrdahl and Hayek shared one.

“It’s tough to make predictions, especially about the future.” --Yogi Berra

Humor--while often a tonic--can be like a poison for those unprepared to take it.

It is not smart of the Fed to base their policy on the housing market...that's what caused deflation in Japan -

If you laid all the economist end to end...you still wouldn't reach a conclusion.

I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public

A closed mind and an open mouth will keep you broke and working for those who are willing to learn.

Oh what the heck...here's a few more...

Every time you hear a hoof beat doesn’t mean it’s a horse—sometimes it could be a Zebra

The lack of planning on you're part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

You're only an expert on the way up!

One mans grief is another mans profit (insensitive, but true!)

If you cannot win their love with kindness and honor, if your efforts to earn their respect with strength fall upon deaf hearts, then instill into them the fear.

You get 2 out of 3 choices: Good, Cheap, Fast.
If you want good, it's not going to be cheap or fast.
If you want fast, it's not going to be cheap or good.
If you want cheap, it's not going to be fast.... and sure isn't going to be any good

I never make the mistake of arguing with people for whose opinions I have no respect

Hope makes a good breakfast, but a lousy dinner.

And now to steal a line from Mike Tyson..."I got nothing left"

Hey,

"Somehow I can't believe that there are any heights that can't be scaled by a man who knows the secrets of making dreams come true. This special secret -- curiosity, confidence, courage, and constancy, and the greatest of all is confidence. When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionably."  -- Walt Disney

For those who feel fear sometimes...
(I think this was a warrior's litany to prepare for a contest.)

Litany Against Fear

I must not fear
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death
That brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass
Over me and through me.
And when it has gone past
I will turn the inner eye
To see its path.
Where the fear has gone
There will be nothing.
Only I will remain....

~Frank Herbert from Dune -  the Bene Gesserit Litany Against Fear
